Highlight any passage and the editor toolbar now shows exactly how many words and characters you have selected, right beside the document word count. Handy for trimming a scene to length or checking a contest excerpt against its limit.
How to use it
Highlight any stretch of text in the editor with your mouse or keyboard.
Look at the right-hand side of the editor toolbar: next to the document total you will see "Selected:" with the exact word and character count of your highlight. Clear the selection and the counter disappears again.
